Nigal is Tamil for the present.
An event lasts a day. What people keep is the memory of it. That is the whole reason this company is called what it is, and why the line under the mark reads Remembered Always.
How it started
Before that, Trichy was not an exhibition city. Brands ran their exhibitions in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai, and treated this city as a place you drive through. The assumption was that the audience was not here.
The first Nigal Lifestyle Exhibition proved otherwise. People came, and they bought. Other organisers saw the numbers, and the format spread. Today four to five lifestyle exhibitions run in Trichy every month on the template that edition set.
Everything else grew out of that. Families who saw the exhibition asked us to run their weddings. Brands who exhibited asked where else they should advertise. The equipment we kept buying for our own shows became a rental business. The nights we ran for fun became a club.
How we work
Nothing important is sub-contracted. The stage, the lights, the sound and the crew are ours. When a supplier does come in, they answer to us and are paid by us, not chased by you.
The permissions are our problem. Police, corporation, fire, electrical, venue, location. If it cannot be permitted we say so before you spend anything, not after.
The person who quotes is the person on site. You will not be handed to a different team once the advance is paid.

Nigal is Tamil for the present, for what is happening now. The group’s line is Remembered Always, because an event lasts one day and the memory of it is the actual product.
The core planning team is small and the crew scales with the job. Because the equipment and the technicians are in-house through Alankar Decor, we are not dependent on whoever happens to be free that weekend.
Trichy is home and it is where most of our work is. We have also run events elsewhere in Tamil Nadu, including Madurai, and we travel for weddings.
